MATHS TEACHER REQUIRED AT COUNTY HALL
Schools across Somerset are reeling from the news that they will get almost £450,000 less money than they expected due to a mathematical error at Somerset County Council.
One in five schools have been affected, with 37 schools losing funding. The error was not discovered until many schools had finalised their budgetary preparations and the Council has had to apologise for the error that it admits will cause frustration and great difficulties.
John Osman, Conservative Spokesman for Education, said, “Once again the Liberal Democrats have proved their incompetence with money. We are very concerned about this and have sought reassurances that this will not happen in future. Perhaps we need to get a maths teacher in to give them some lessons.”
