Conservative Success! (19.09.07)
Walrow Bridge in Highbridge reopened to light traffic last Friday morning to the delight of the local MP, David Heathcoat-Amory and the Conservatives.
The Conservatives at County Hall piled on the pressure against the LibDem administration at the County Council and forced them to take action and rescind their decision to keep the bridge totally closed for three years - until 2010.
Leader of the Conservative Group, Ken Maddock, expressed his delight that traders could, at last, start rebuilding their businesses which had been severely affected by the bridge closure.
