SHADOW MINISTER CALLS ON THE LIB DEMS TO FIX SOMERSET'S ROADS

Caroline Spelman, MP, took time out of her day yesterday to meet with Conservative Councillors in Somerset.

Visiting Somerset for the Southwest Launch of the Conservative Party's European Manifesto, the Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government met with Conservative County Councillors to support their campaign for the County Council elections on June 4^th.

Ken Maddock Conservative Group Leader on Somerset County Council spent time with the MP, and commented afterwards, "I am pleased to have welcomed the Shadow Local Government Secretary to Somerset, and was very interested to hear of her plans for local government under a Conservative administration. Having travelled on Somerset's roads yesterday, she experienced their poor state first-hand, and was pleased to support the Somerset Conservative's manifesto pledge to rescue the roads.''
