PRAISE HEAPED ON WIVELISCOMBE PRIMARY SCHOOL (08/07/02)
Caroline Smeaton, Conservative County Councillor for Upper Tone, congratulates Wiveliscombe Primary School for its excellent OFSTED report.The report said, ‘Wiveliscombe Primary School is an excellent school where pupils make very good progress.’
It went on to praise the headteacher, staff and governors for successfully working in partnership to maintain and improve their high standards.
Cllr Smeaton commented, ‘this report is a wonderful testimony to the dedicated staff at Wiveliscombe Primary School. I am delighted for them.
‘Overall the standard achieved by pupils is above the national average. I would like to congratulate the school and its deserving pupils.
‘The inspection process can often be stressful and involved much hard work. In this case it has proved worthwhile. Staff and pupils should feel extremely proud of themselves. Well done to all involved.’
