Edward and Liz Thring will kindly be opening their garden for us to enjoy
Tom Burr, a long time resident of Castle Cary and of Somerset, joined The National Trust on April Fool’s Day 1963, retiring 38 years later though he still continues to work for the trust voluntarily. In 1976 he moved to Somerset as Officer for the Wessex Region, with his office based at Stourhead, and was involved with the fêtes champêtre, enjoyed by many. Tom was awarded the MBE “for services to conservation” in the Millennium Honours List.
Drinks will be served on arrival and during a light lunch which will follow Tom’s talk
