Volunteering
The Grouping and the wider Conservative Party as a whole relies on the goodwill and enthusiasm of its volunteers in every activity it undertakes to achieve its goal of getting Conservative candidates elected; given that the Grouping only employs a small team of professional staff. Members and volunteers carry out the vast proportion of the Grouping's campaigning and fundraising efforts as well as assisting staff in administrative work. Membership
Any local resident can join the Conservative Party for just £25 per annum through their local Association (£5 for anyone under the age of 23 or £15 for serving members of the Armed Forces). Being a member has a number of benefits over just being a supporter. Click here to see a full list.
People join for a variety of reasons from wanting to see a Conservative Government or council or supporting an individual candidate to someone who wants a social life through the many fundraising events or is passionate about creating and discussing policy.
